"In a box" by Juliana Garcia Bello

Many Argentine families keep clothes for years to be used by the next generations. García Bello's family kept 45 pieces inside a cloth-lined box, closed with a red satin ribbon. For more than 30 years there have been preserved handcraft garments made by Liliana and Dora (mother and grandmother). Among the most significant garments are from the deconstruction method, reusing and prolonging the life of garments for years. This photographic documentation reflects the oral transmission of knowledge and the life of garments.
