"Abandoned rubble" by Juliana Garcia Bello
Abandoned rubble.
"A crack grows seeming stagnant ,
as abandoned rubble.
The room is illuminated by the sun,
a warmth ray enters through the window and becomes dust.
Moments like a mothball-smelling memory.
Caramel on the marble,
without smell.
The vanilla sponge cake fresh from the oven,
smooth as old chalk.
Silent is the bed where somebody wakes up.
A vague memory."
