Juliana Garcia Bello
Juliana Garcia Bello (1989) was born and raised in Rio Grande, Tierra del Fuego in a province south of Argentina. She studied clothes and textile design in Universidad de Buenos Aires, was recognized for the university performance. Her final university project was selected by Instituto Nacional de Tecnologia Industrial Argentina to be exhibited in Buenos Aires Fashion Week, 2013.
She founded GARCIABELLO in 2017, based on upcycling techniques and circular economy. Winner at “Autores de Moda BA 2019” BAFWEEK, Argentina; Winner of Fashion Makes Sense Award 2019, The Netherlands; Winner of woman collection Redress Design Award 2020, Hong Kong.
In 2013-2014 she studied jewelry at Taller Eloi with Jimena Rios. She also attended seminars - workshops with: Margarita Maldonado, Francisca Kweitel, Pilar Cotter, Teresa Estapé, Margarita Garcia Faure and Rodrigo Acosta.
Her artworks were exhibited in galleries and museums in Argentina, the United States, England, Colombia, The Netherlands, Hong Hong, France, Russia, Uruguay, Bolivia and Spain. Highlighting his participation in the Museo de Arquitectura y diseño MARQ, Museo Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires MALBA, Museo de Arte Decorativo de Buenos Aires, Fondo Nacional de las Artes, Palais de Glace, Centro Cultural Recoleta, Victoria and Albert Museum V&A , The International Fashion Showcase, Simposio de Joyería en construcción, Entre Nous Galerie D`Art, among others.
